Hole 6

The sixth is a par 4 hole that invites the player to over-hit his drive. Again it appears that there is ample room for a wild swing at the ball.

A good drive here needs to be hit with a slight draw. The huge unforgiving lime trees to the left of the tee force the player to aim to the right of the fairway where a strategically placed bunker and more trees await those who do not manage to draw the ball.

If the drive is successfully negotiated, then a player may only be left with a short iron to the green which is set across a walled water hazard and protected by a cavernous bunker on the front left. The front half of the green slopes viciously forward. If the pin has been placed anywhere on the front left quarter, it takes nerves of steel and a little glue on the ball to putt back down the slope.
